Kathryn Hawkins is an experienced home economist. She has been writing about food and creating recipes for over 30 years. She has written and contributed to over 20 cookery books. Alongside her writing, Kathryn is a food stylist and prepares food for photographs in magazines, books, advertising and food packaging, and on websites and TV. Based in central Scotland, she travels all over the UK and beyond for her work. Kathryn teaches and demonstrates on a variety of cookery subjects.

I have worked in the marketing departments of a major textile producer and also in the meat industry, both of which gave me an insight into education at primary, secondary and tertiary levels, I have also taught at tertiary level and in adult education. I regularly do talks on nutrition to consumer groups and have worked on radio and in TV broadcasting.
