I am an outgoing and well-organised individual who communicates confidently and effectively at all levels.
I have worked in the marketing departments of a major textile producer and also in the meat industry, both of which gave me an insight into education at primary, secondary and tertiary levels, I have also taught at tertiary level and in adult education. I regularly do talks on nutrition to consumer groups and have worked on radio and in TV broadcasting.
Being particularly interested in ergonomics and the design of the workspace and equipment, for several years I ran my own small business, designing kitchens and importing units from Sweden. I now work on an ad hoc basis alongside an Architect on kitchen design.
I have a full, clean driving licence.
I have been involved with the International Federation of Home Economics since 1992 and am the UK liaison and the administrator for this website. I have just received certification as an International Professional Home Economist.
